Alto saxophonist Benjamin Herman is a wide ranging stylist whose playing is rooted in bebop with a nod to early masters like Johnny Hodges. He performs in a multitude of different musical settings, including as leader of the highly popular “New Cool Collective” big band and small group. Herman is well know to take his playing in all kinds of directions, but his signature sound and energetic delivery unite all of his diverse musical roles.
