Luigi Grasso is an unparalleled virtuoso of the alto saxophone and a master of the language of jazz. He and his brother guitarist Pasquale emerged in their early teens as leading lights in jazz, and have both more than fulfilled their early promise. Grasso is an international star, having performed all around the world, and appearing in New York City at Smalls, Fat Cat, The Iridium. He has played with the likes of Barry Harris, Frank Wess, Kenny Barron, Bobby Durham, the Harry Allen-Joe Cohn quartet, Steve Grossman, Grant Stewart, Dado Moroni, and many others. He is also dedicated to playing with a likeminded collective of some of the world’s finest bebop musicians including Pasquale Grasso, Stefano Doglioni, Fabien Marie, Ari Roland, Keith Balla, and Chris Byers.
