Roots Motion is proud to present a special Sunday afternoon concert at Pavlov with master drummer Ari Hoenig’s European Quartet. Hoenig is one of the most rhythmically, technically, and melodically advanced drummers and bandleaders in jazz today. He has been a member of such bands as the Kenny Werner Trio, Chris Potter Underground, Kurt Rosenwinkel Group and the Joshua Redman Elastic band, and worked in the the bands of Richard Bona and Pat Martino. He has also performed with such artists as Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, Toots Thielemans, Dave Holland and Joe Lovano. Joining him are three of the finest musicians on the French Jazz scene; Alto saxophonist Gael Horellou, pianist Etienne Deconfin, and bassist Viktor Nyberg.
